Since receiving a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Monmouth University in May of 2008, I have had the privilege of working in private practice, helping clients effectively work through and improve cognitions and behaviors that have diminished their quality of life. First, I have a special passion for successfully treating clients struggling with anxiety disorders across the spectrum, including generalized anxiety disorder, panic attacks, and obsession and compulsion disorders. Another goal of my counseling is helping clients to improve their quality of life by overcoming grief/loss, depression, dysfunctional family dynamics, marriage issues, the impact of chronic illness, and life transitions and pivotal changes, especially with young adults. An abiding Christian faith is at the center of my life and my counseling. For those who desire it, I am comfortable leading with and leaning on Biblical principles and prayer.
You will find my personal counseling style to be warm and authentic, centered on a deep appreciation for building relationships with each client. We will set goals and collaborate, believing you have the strengths within you to make the positive changes necessary. We will work together to change your thinking and behaviors to improve your quality of life.
I am honored to be a part of your life journey. Every client relationship is unique, but my approach is always to move therapy along in a time-sensitive manner. I know your time is precious, so together our goal will be to get back to living an abundant, healthy life as soon as possible.
When I am not counseling, I love to spend time with family and friends. Some of my interests include traveling, the beach, NYC trips, cooking, the gym, volunteering at church, volunteering at Hackensack/Jersey Shore Medical Center on the Pastoral Care Team, and reading. To me there are no strangers, only friends I haven’t met.
